The CXO Compass

Four tools. One compass. A clear picture of your leadership.

At senior levels, careers are decided less by what you can do and more by how people experience you. The CXO Compass looks at four sides of your leadership: how you think, how you manage yourself, how you connect with people, and how you lead with technology.

Four short tools — The Prism, The Axis, The Bridge and The Lens. 15–20 minutes each. Confidential, always.

About these assessments

Four tools, one integrated reading. Learn what each one measures.

The Prism
Tool 01

The Prism

Intellectual quotient · 15–20 minutes · Confidential

The Prism is about the way you think as a leader. Over the years, your thinking has developed a pattern of its own, and the people around you see it every day. Most leaders, though, have never seen their own thinking from the outside.

The Prism helps you discover that pattern for yourself, and what it means for the level you want to reach.

The Axis
Tool 02

The Axis

Emotional quotient · 15–20 minutes · Confidential

The Axis is about the inner side of your leadership: what happens within you, and what everyone around you experiences. It is the quietest of the four dimensions, and the most important.

This is the most personal of the four tools, and often the most revealing.

The Bridge
Tool 03

The Bridge

Social quotient · 15–20 minutes · Confidential

The Bridge is about your leadership as others receive it. You know what you intend as a leader. The people around you know what actually reaches them.

The Bridge helps you discover what your leadership feels like from the other side.

The Lens
Tool 04

The Lens

Digital quotient · 15–20 minutes · Confidential

The Lens is about how you lead in a world full of technology. Using the tools is one thing. Leading with judgment is another.

The Lens helps you discover where your judgment stands today — quick, honest, and it completes the picture.

There are no right answers and no trick questions. Answer as things are today, not as you would like them to be. The tool can tell when answers describe a wish rather than a habit. This reading is only for you — the more honest you are, the more useful it becomes.
